As an SEMH Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and nurturing classroom environment, planning engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH and Autism, and developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).

About the Role:

The successful MPS or UPS SEMH Teacher must have Qualified Teacher Status and experience teaching the UK curriculum in their chosen subject(s) at secondary level. They should also have experience working in PRUs, Alternative Provision, Secondary Schools, or SEMH Schools, as well as strong behaviour management skills and the ability to handle challenging behaviours calmly and effectively.

We are looking for someone who can create and maintain a supportive and nurturing classroom environment, plan engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH and Autism, and develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). The ideal candidate will be able to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social and emotional well-being of all students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach students with SEMH needs, including those with Autism and challenging behaviours
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Create a supportive and nurturing classroom environment
  • Plan engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH and Autism
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

The salary for this role is £40,609 to £60,092 per annum, depending on experience, and we offer a range of benefits, including access to professional development opportunities and a supportive working environment.
