About the Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced planning professional to join our team as a Strategic Planner. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the planning process for strategic land sites, including preparing and submitting planning applications and promoting land through the Local Plan process. If you have a proven track record in planning and a passion for the built environment, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning process for strategic land sites
  • Prepare and submit planning applications for strategic land sites
  • Promote land through the Local Plan process and manage site promotion strategies
  • Coordinate with stakeholders (local authorities, consultants, landowners) to move planning applications forward
  • Conduct research and provide analysis to support the strategic land planning process

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of planning experience in housing (within housebuilding, consultancy, land promotion, or local authority)
  • A degree accredited by the RTPI (or equivalent) in planning or a related field within the built environment
  • Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Willingness to travel to various sites across the north of England and southern Scotland

Estimated Salary: £58,000-£68,000 per annum, depending on experience.
