CV Library is a dynamic, forward-thinking housebuilding company that excels in strategic land development. We are seeking a talented Town Planner to join our team and contribute to the success of our key development projects across the north of England and southern Scotland.

Your Opportunity
This exciting role offers a unique chance to work closely with our Senior Strategic Planning Manager to prepare and implement planning strategies for our current and future portfolio sites. You will be responsible for developing and implementing planning strategies, preparing planning applications, promoting land through Local Plans, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful site delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement planning strategies for portfolio sites with the Senior Strategic Planning Manager.
  2. Lead the preparation and submission of planning applications for strategic land sites.
  3. Promote land through the Local Plan process and manage site promotion strategies.
  4. Coordinate with stakeholders (local authorities, consultants, landowners) to move planning applications forward.
  5. Conduct research and provide analysis to support the strategic land planning process.
  6. Travel for site visits and attend meetings across the north of England and southern Scotland as required.

Requirements
  1. At least 2 years of planning experience in housing (within housebuilding, consultancy, land promotion, or local authority).
  2. A degree accredited by the RTPI (or equivalent) in planning or a related field within the built environment.
  3. Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills.
  4. A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a positive, can-do attitude.
  5. Willingness to travel to various sites across the north of England and southern Scotland.
  6. RTPI accreditation is desirable, with mentoring available to support the APC process.

Salary Range
The salary for this position is estimated to be £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
