Senior Research Infrastructure Specialist

**Exciting Opportunity in HPC and AI Research Services**
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support scientists across the UK and beyond in critical research fields such as clean energy, personalised medicine and climate science.
The role is based in the University of Cambridge's Research Computing Services, a leading UK National Supercomputing Centre, providing facilities and services to world-renowned scientists, clinicians and engineers across the UK and Europe.
What You Will Do- Work on diverse AI and HPC platforms and infrastructure projects
- Responsible for integrating and maintaining software-defined infrastructure
- Collaborate with world-leading academic research teams and researchers in the public and commercial sector
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Linux System Administration
- Practical experience with programming and scripting languages such as Bash and Python
- Experience with one or more areas from SysOps, DevOps, GitOps, OpenStack, HPC and Software Engineering
- Bachelor's or higher degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent experience
- A competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
- 41 days holiday per year including bank holidays
- The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment
