Job Description

Job Title: Strategic Planning Engineer

Job Summary:

Infraspec is seeking an experienced Strategic Planning Engineer to join our team on a major defence infrastructure construction project. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules, coordinating work packages, and tracking progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project schedules, coordinate work packages, and track progress
  • Oversee and coordinate with sub-contractors, including reviewing and approving their programmes
  • Interface with stakeholders to report on progress, identify changes, assess risks, and highlight opportunities
  • Contribute to proposals by providing manhour estimates and planning input
  • Produce concise and accurate reports on project metrics, including critical path analysis

Requirements:

  • Strong skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and Project
  • Ability to meet deadlines independently and without supervision
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver clear and concise summaries of project progress, critical path risks, and metrics
  • Prior experience as a project planner on NEC4 Contracts, particularly Option A and Option C
  • Experience in major infrastructure design and build projects is highly desirable, with a particular focus on the nuclear or defence industry
