About the Position

As a SEN Education Assistant with Take Five Healthcare, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the educational journey of children and young adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a rewarding role that requires dedication, passion, and a genuine desire to support students with SEN.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting Students: Assist students with SEN to access and engage in learning activities effectively, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Personal Care Assistance: Provide personal care support to students, as required, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the school day.
  • Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with teachers and educational staff to implement individualized learning plans and strategies tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Adapted Learning Materials: Adapt teaching materials and resources to make them accessible and suitable for students with different learning styles and abilities.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A commitment to work a minimum of 16 hours per week.
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEN, ideally within an educational or care setting.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying updated with current best practices and approaches in SEN education.
