We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work with primary aged children who have severe autism and PMLD (profound multiple learning difficulties) in a mainstream Primary School in the Cheltenham area.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with SEN children, be committed to a long-term post, and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting students with severe autism and PMLD on a 1:1 basis
  • Assisting with daily living activities and providing emotional support
  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of supporting those with SEN
  • Committed to long-term role
  • Highly motivated to improve outcomes for children
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Secure understanding of phonics and early reading
