Job Summary:

The Melksham Oak Community School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior leader to fill the position of Associate Headteacher. This role is a key part of the school's leadership team and requires a talented individual who can provide visible and proactive leadership across all areas of school life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the effective running of the school and ensure the highest academic, behavioural, and professional standards are maintained.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff to achieve school goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and achievement.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Headteacher and other senior leaders to drive school improvement.
  • Deputise for the Executive Headteacher as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a senior leader in a school setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with staff, students, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the development of the school's vision and strategy.
  • Commitment to the school's values and ethos, and a passion for improving student outcomes.
