Operations Director - Wood & Plastic

About the Role:

This is a stimulating opportunity to lead our manufacturing operations in the UK. As an Operations Director, you will oversee demand forecasting requirements, manage material and product flow, and maintain relationships with key suppliers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Production Management: Manage production activities across both existing and new customers with varied requirements.
  • Demand Planning & Forecasting: Develop accurate demand forecasts by analysing market trends, historical data, and inventory levels.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee raw material inventory levels on-site, ensuring a smooth manufacturing process.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing or Production environment.
  • Knowledge of the Packaging / Wood / Plastic sector.
  • Strong people management skills, having overseen teams of 15+ employees.
  • Excellent communication and organisational negotiation skills.
