Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Commercial Leader to join our client, a prestigious international membership organisation, as an Interim Director of Commercial Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the organisation's commercial offerings to maximise revenue and income opportunities while maintaining high-quality service for members and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of high-quality, commercially valuable programmes and products, ensuring accessibility for members, clients, and the public, while focusing on sustainable profitability.
  • Manage a team of 4 direct reports, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful implementation of commercial strategies.
  • Develop and implement cutting-edge digital technologies and platforms to enhance the digital-first approach, delivering strong commercial value and customer support.
  • Ensure programme delivery excellence, focusing on ROI, customer satisfaction, and driving digital, print, and in-person learning.
  • Represent the organisation at the highest level and effectively deliver partnerships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Strong and effective senior leadership experience, with a demonstrable track record in delivering significant returns on investment across a range of products/services and audience sectors.
  • Proven project management capability to develop and implement clear and effective 'go to market' strategies.
  • Experience of customer service excellence gained in a commercial environment through the creation and implementation of SLAs.
  • Ability to effectively interim manage a motivated team, proactively supporting them in their own personal development and career progression.
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to see opportunities for product growth and commercial optimisation gained in both UK and International markets.
  • Ability to drive P&L through cost management and margin growth to maximise financial returns while maintaining quality at all times.
