Job Title: Participation Tracking Officer - Data Specialist
Essex County Council is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our Participation Tracking Team as a Data Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for confirming and recording the education, employment, or training status of young people resident in Essex aged 16-18, ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities and data recording legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm and record young people's education, employment, or training status
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls
- Contribute to the follow-up of young people identified as NEET, maintaining currency of data for referrals across the Skills team
- Ensure compliance with data recording legislation and guidance
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to define requirements and achieve timely collection of data and delivery of statutory reporting
Requirements:
- Education to RQF Level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent by experience
- Ability to develop skills and experience within the role
- Working knowledge of locality support availability within Essex
- Experience of data input and translating outputs into management information
- Understanding of the needs of young people identified as NEET
