Job Description

Austin Fraser is seeking a Research Grants Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for coordinating the administration of research grants and contracts, ensuring that all necessary documentation is submitted in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in post-award grant administration, preferably within a higher education or research institution. They will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of grants and contracts, including Doctoral Training Grants and Centres.
  • Monitoring income and expenditure on awards, dealing with complex issues and submitting interim and final expenditure statements.
  • Authorising and submitting Starting Certificates to Research Councils, adhering to sponsor rules and meeting deadlines.
  • Preparing and approving final claim submissions to external sponsors, working closely with grant holders and departmental administrators.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £21,400 per annum, depending on experience.
