Project Manager Job Description

Delkia is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering key projects comprising product, process, and system development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, plan, track, and manage projects to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and quality plans.
  • Monitor project spending and report variances using Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques.
  • Establish and maintain weekly reporting, including internal and external team meetings.
  • Prepare meeting packs, presentations, and minutes, and update teams and senior management.
  • Positively influence key stakeholders associated with the project.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation templates.
  • Ensure all project deliverables are completed in line with the schedule.
  • Identify potential dependencies, assumptions, risks, exceptions, opportunities (DAREO), project problems, mitigation contingencies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Play an active part in Lessons Identified process across all projects and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain established processes and develop new as required.
  • Take ownership and pride in your work and promote project management success through the team.
  • Manage proposed changes to project parameters – e.g. scope, budget, schedules.
  • Monitor the quality of project deliverables and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Conduct project meetings and attend programme and portfolio meetings where required.
  • Establish effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Proven experience of effective working with those with specialist knowledge and expertise.

Requirements:

  • Degree (or working to) in Project Management (desirable)
  • APM Project Management Qualification (desirable)
  • Knowledge of NEC3 contracts (desirable)
  • Proven experience of delivering projects to time, cost, and quality
  • Successful experience of translating analysis into practical implementation
  • Proficient with the full Microsoft Office suite
  • Schedule baseline creation and management
  • Detail orientated, high standard of accuracy & quality
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong team-player.
