Job Summary

Adecco is seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant - Quality Assurance to join our team. As a Laboratory Assistant - Quality Assurance, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and traceability of results in our laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sample Management

Collect, log, and store test samples, cross-referencing product labeling with laboratory work requests. Escalate any inconsistencies to Senior Laboratory Technicians or Project Leaders.

Testing and Analysis

Perform and document ingredient, packaging verification, and calibration testing according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Data Collection and Reporting

Collect, collate, and disseminate analytical data, providing reports for approval by Project Leaders.

Quality Control

Highlight out-of-specifications or data irregularities to Senior Laboratory Technicians or Project Leaders.

Process Improvement

Identify, recommend, and implement potential improvements to testing protocols, results recording, and ways of working.

Compliance and Safety

Adhere to all safety procedures required for SOPs and COSHH, maintaining a clean desk policy in all laboratory areas and ensuring traceability of all test data.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Technical Skills

Experience with laboratory techniques and equipment, strong attention to detail, and a scientific background.

Computer Literacy

Data entry and computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Soft Skills

Able to work independently, under pressure, and as part of a team, with excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Requirements:

  1. Technical Writing

Skilled at technical report writing.

Experience with statistical software, such as Excel or Minitab, is also desirable.
