Job Role: Professional Lead Physiotherapist

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join our team as a Professional Lead Physiotherapist. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our physiotherapy services and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional leadership within the area of responsibility, influencing national policy and strategies, and holding professional responsibility for establishing, ensuring, and governing standards. This includes acting as the link between DHCFT and the Chartered Society for Physiotherapy CSP professional body, addressing professional issues relevant to and affecting their area of responsibility in DHCFT.

Key Performance Indicators:
  • To establish and maintain high-quality physiotherapy services that meet the needs of patients.
  • To develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure safe, effective, patient-centered and high-quality direct patient care.
  • To lead and manage a team of physiotherapists to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • To promote and support the development of physiotherapy services through partnership working with other healthcare professionals.


Requirements: To be eligible for this position, you must have HPC registration, physiotherapy leadership experience, CSP membership, and leadership training or equivalent experience. Additionally, you should have experience working as a specialist clinical physiotherapist, proven facilitation skills in relation to workforce issues and complaints, high-level communication skills, and ability to adopt necessary leadership styles depending on the context.

Salary and Location: The estimated salary for this role is around £65,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will be based in Derby City, with opportunities to travel to various bases as required by the post.
