About the Role

The Business Operations Associate, Art Approval will play a vital part in upholding the vision and standards of the Pokémon brand. This position will be responsible for reviewing character art assets in various mediums to ensure an accurate representation of the brand and maintaining the highest level of quality possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough reviews of character art assets against internal references to guarantee an accurate representation of the brand.
  • Adhere to deadlines related to ongoing projects and keep stakeholders informed of progress toward goals.
  • Provide project support to the Manager for London Operations, mainly for marketing projects, as assigned.
  • Translate various documents to English or Japanese, as required, and disseminate information, as needed.
  • Manage correspondence between international offices for projects, as assigned.
  • Other duties including liaising between Tokyo and Seattle office, and vendors as assigned.

Requirements

  • Three (3) to four (4) years of relevant professional experience or a demonstrated equivalent level of expertise.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or a demonstrated equivalent level of applicable experience.
  • Near-native or fluent level language in Japanese (Reading/Writing/Speaking) is required. Project management experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communicator, with an ability to convey information in a clear and courteous manner appropriate for the audience (individual contributor to executive level).
  • Excellent time management skills, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Ability to easily adapt to new situations, as well as to handle multiple competing priorities, while delivering on high-quality results and follow through.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
  • Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
