Acquisition and Integration Expertise

Vitae Financial Recruitment is seeking an experienced professional to support the business in establishing new accounting, reporting, and operational requirements of the expanding Group structure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Corporate Finance to optimize transactions from an accounting and tax perspective, ensuring seamless integration and compliance.
  • Determine the appropriate accounting treatment of transactions, including Purchase Price Allocation (PPA) exercises, and develop technical accounting papers to support informed decision-making.
  • Deliver completion accounts for new acquisitions, working closely with 3rd party advisors and managing transaction dispute mechanisms as necessary.
  • Monitor transaction fees to track actual costs vs budget, ensuring settlement and correct accounting practices.
  • Liaise with 3rd party advisors on post-completion activities to embed acquisitions into the business, driving long-term growth and success.
  • Support implementation of new accounting, reporting, and system requirements post-acquisition and entity restructuring, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Work with property finance, property teams, and tax advisors to deliver post-completion tax actions and comply with ongoing tax requirements, maintaining a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Develop and implement newly required policies for acquired operations, applying corporate governance and internal controls to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

The ideal candidate is a fully qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA professional with demonstrable acquisition experience. This interim role requires immediate availability or a short notice period. Salary Range: 550-650 p/day (Inside IR35)
