Job Title: Mental Health Assistant - Psychology Graduate

Job Description:

We are seeking a committed Mental Health Assistant to join our team of staff at a warm and welcoming Specialist school in Headington. The successful candidate will have experience working in a classroom setting or with children who struggle with learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with learning disabilities and ASD in a 1:1 and small group setting
  • Assist the class teacher in setting up for lessons, clearing up after lessons, and outdoor activities
  • Help students reach their academic and personal goals by encouraging involvement in the classroom and becoming independent learners

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children who struggle with learning difficulties
  • Positive attitude and passion to make a difference
  • Ability to work in a team and support students with varying needs
