Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our Graduate Management Trainee programme, designed to develop the next generation of local government leaders. As a trainee, you will rotate through various placements, gaining hands-on experience in different areas of the council, while studying for a postgraduate-level qualification from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). This is an excellent opportunity to build your skills, knowledge, and network within the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop leadership skills and competencies through a combination of on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring
  • Participate in a range of projects and initiatives that address key challenges facing Brent Council and its residents
  • Become an integral member of a dynamic team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality services and programmes
Requirements:
  • A 2:2 undergraduate degree in any subject, obtainable by summer 2025
  • The right to work in the UK without employer sponsorship
  • Residency in Brent for at least two years
  • A strong desire to pursue a career in local government and make a positive impact on the community
