Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join Brent Council's Graduate Management Trainee Cohort as part of the Impact: The Local Government Graduate Programme. As a Graduate Management Trainee, you will contribute to the council's efforts to tackle some of society's big issues, such as housing, social care, public health, and inequality.


Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for working on various projects across different departments, developing your skills and knowledge in planning, organisation, analysis, and problem-solving. You will also have the opportunity to influence key decisions and contribute to the development of policies that affect the community.


What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £26,041 per annum, which is estimated to increase to £29,436 after completing the core programme satisfactorily. You will also receive a guaranteed interview with Brent Council if you progress to the final stage of the recruitment process. Furthermore, you will have access to a comprehensive training and development programme, which includes a postgraduate-level qualification from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong academic record with an undergraduate degree in any subject by summer 2025. Additionally, you must have a former connection to Brent, having attended a secondary or further education establishment in the area. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will be working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the council.
