Drax Group is a leading company in sustainable biomass and carbon removals. We're seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, including P&L and Balance sheet postings and reconciliations for Opex across the UK. This role requires excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with senior management to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consistent, simple, and accurate monthly management information and reporting to support senior management in monitoring expenditure performance and understanding variances.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, standardising processes across the group and increasing efficiency throughout the month-end process.
  • Develop and maintain regular, high-quality communication with non-finance stakeholders to ensure key information flows occur on a timely basis, are well understood, and are refined where necessary.
Requirements:
  • A qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with experience in an accounting role in a medium/large company environment.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Demonstrable commitment to simplification and automation of processes.

Estimated salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.
