**Role: Finance Assistant**
**Salary: Up to £27,000 + Study Support**
**Location: Selby**
**Type: Permanent, Full Time, Monday - Friday**

**Overview**

Our client is currently in search of a Finance Assistant to become a valuable addition to their expanding finance department. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in overseeing and assisting with various aspects of the company's management accounts while also offering practical assistance in the accounting functions related to strategic financial management.

**The Role & Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant**
- Supporting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with accounts preparation and year-end financial audits
- Cash flow management
- Updating fixed asset register
- Assisting with the production of management pack
- Cost and variance analysis
- Nominal and payroll analysis
- Monthly accruals and prepayments
- Ad-hoc reporting as and when required

**Requirements of the Finance Assistant**
- Ideally working towards AAT qualification but this is not essential
- Keen to continue or begin accounting qualifications with study support (following a successful probation period)
- Strong excel skills
- Experience in a similar role

**Salary**: Up to £27,000.00 per year
