Acute Nursing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Acute Nursing Specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care in our Enhanced Care Area (ECA).
The successful candidate will have excellent assessment and prioritization skills, with the ability to provide individualized care to patients requiring respiratory support and cardiac monitoring. They will also be expected to undertake advanced life skills training and participate in departmental audits to maintain high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:
- To contribute to the delivery of quality patient care by participating in and providing the assessment, planning, provision, and evaluation of individualised care.
- To assist in the admission, transfer & discharge of patients in accordance with local policy.
- To participate in the developing and monitoring of standards of care and other quality initiatives in a positive manner.
- To fulfil the role of the departmental triage nurse, utilising advanced skills of assessment, prioritisation, decision-making, risk management, and communication skills.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered General Nurse (RGN)
- Experience working in an acute setting, preferably in an ECA or High Dependency Unit
- Ability to undertake advanced life skills training, including blood gases and ECGs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
