Community Outreach Coordinator

We are seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator to join our team in Whitehaven and surrounding areas. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals affected by mental health challenges.

About the Role

You will work as part of our clinical partnership with Everyturn Mental Health and Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, coordinating community outreach activities and providing practical support to customers. Your role will involve running community events to promote wellbeing in the Copeland area, working collaboratively with colleagues, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate community outreach activities, including running community events to promote wellbeing in the Copeland area
  2. Provide practical support to customers, assisting them with daily living tasks and helping them achieve their goals and aspirations
  3. Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver exceptional mental health services
  4. Maintain accurate records of customer support and progress
  5. Develop and implement community outreach strategies to promote wellbeing in the Copeland area
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a community outreach or mental health setting
  • Able to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure, and have a resilient approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use technology to update support plans and collaborate with colleagues
  • Enhanced DBS check required
