Job Overview

The Unit/Ward Manager role at Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust is a dynamic position that requires strong leadership and management skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective leadership and operational management to the ward, ensuring the provision of high-quality nursing care to all service users over a 24-hour period.

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will be accountable to service users/patients and operate within the Trust's framework of policies and guidelines. Key responsibilities include promoting and maintaining excellence in nursing practice, leading the work of the care team, and coordinating effective utilization and resources within the defined area.

The ideal candidate will possess a qualification in Mental Health Nursing and have experience of managing and leading staff. Desirable criteria include a qualification and skills and abilities relevant to the role.
