The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Ecologist to join our vibrant and close-knit team in Gloucestershire. As a Senior Ecologist, you will lead complex projects, mentor your team, and collaborate closely with clients to deliver high-quality ecological services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and implement advanced surveys, ensuring the quality of work and adherence to UK and European environmental legislation.
  • Lead and mentor survey teams, both in-house and external, to achieve exceptional results.
  • Contribute to the Ecology Team's vision and growth strategy, driving innovation and excellence in ecological services.
  • Engage with clients, preparing quotes, and managing budgets to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Proven project management skills and a strategic mindset, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Senior-level experience in technical report writing, with expertise in UK and European environmental legislation.
  • Experience in fee proposals and resource planning, with a strong understanding of ecological services.
  • Specialist skills, such as botany, bats, or aquatic ecology, are highly desirable, as are survey licenses and BNG metric experience.
