Programme Engineering Manager

We are seeking a skilled Programme Engineering Manager to join our client, a leading Aerospace and Defence supplier, on a contract basis in Glenrothes.
- Contract Duration: Initial 6-month contract.
- Develop and implement effective engineering work packages, leveraging experience in leading product development programmes to drive risk management and programme progression.
- Utilize visual management techniques to track and drive the daily and weekly execution rhythm of the programme, breaking down work packages into actionable tasks.
- Provide regular progress reporting to the Programme, Business, and Leadership Team.
- Support Engineers in achieving their tasks, connecting them with other functions within the programme team.
- Closely collaborate with Programme Design Authority and Chief Engineer to ensure technical integrity of work products.
- Lead Risk and Change Management for all Engineering deliverables, including effective monitoring and mitigation.
- Engage in 'sleeves rolled up' technical problem-solving in the development and manufacturing domains, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are delivered.
- Motivate and coach Engineering team members to success, demonstrating technical expectations for execution, accountability, and discipline.
- Demonstrated experience leading mission-critical electronic product design, qualification, and certification programmes to customer and industry standards.
- Fast learner with the ability to hit the ground running and make a positive impact quickly.
- Experience in transitioning products to manufacture and manufacturing support.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills with a proven track record in navigating senior stakeholders across business and industry.
- A strong track record of engineering leadership, delivering through others in a matrix organisation, and structured approach to problem-solving.
- Highly dependable, autonomous, resilient, and results-oriented.
- Holder of SC Clearance.
Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
