Senior Technical Leader Opportunity

Join Matchtech's client, a prominent Aerospace and Defence supplier, as a Senior Technical Leader in Glenrothes, on a contract basis.

  • Contract Type: Fixed-term contract for an initial 6 months.
About the Role:
  • Drive the planning of Engineering work packages, leveraging your expertise in leading product development programmes to manage risk and propel the programme forward.
  • Implement and use visual management techniques to identify, prioritise, track, and drive the daily and weekly execution rhythm of the programme.
  • Present regular progress reports to the Programme, Business, and Leadership Teams.
  • Collaborate closely with Programme Design Authority and Chief Engineer to ensure technical integrity of work products.
  • Lead Risk and Change Management for all Engineering deliverables, incorporating effective monitoring and mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in technical problem-solving in the development and manufacturing domains, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Coach and motivate Engineering team members to achieve success, promoting technical excellence and accountability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience leading mission-critical electronic product design, qualification, and certification programmes.
  • Able to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges.
  • Strong background in transitioning products to manufacture and manufacturing support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience navigating senior stakeholders.
  • Track record of delivering results through others in a matrix organisation.
  • Dependable, autonomous, resilient, and results-driven individual.
  • SC Clearance holder.

Salary Range: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, based on experience.
