Leading Programme Engineer Required

Matchtech's client, a reputable Aerospace and Defence supplier, seeks a highly skilled Leading Programme Engineer to join their team in Glenrothes on a contract basis.

  • Contract Term: Initial 6-month fixed-term contract.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Establish and lead the planning of Engineering work packages, drawing from your experience in managing complex product development programmes.
  • Develop and apply visual management techniques to enhance tracking and execution of daily and weekly programme activities.
  • Deliver regular progress reports to key stakeholders, including Programme, Business, and Leadership Teams.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Programme Design Authority and Chief Engineer to maintain technical integrity of work products.
  • Oversee Risk and Change Management for Engineering deliverables, implementing effective monitoring and mitigation measures.
  • Engage in hands-on technical problem-solving in the development and manufacturing domains, focusing on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Mentor and inspire Engineering team members to excel in their roles, upholding high standards of technical performance and accountability.
Essential Requirements:
  • Substantial experience in leading mission-critical electronic product design, qualification, and certification programmes.
  • Able to rapidly adjust to new situations and contribute positively.
  • Extensive knowledge of product transition to manufacture and manufacturing support.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a history of effectively engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results through others in a matrix organisational structure.
  • Unwavering commitment to dependability, autonomy, resilience, and results-driven work ethic.
  • Current SC Clearance holder.

Annual Salary: £58,000 - £78,000, dependent on prior experience.
