Consultant Role in Flood Management

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Consultant to join our team at Fife Council. As a key member of the structural services department, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of flood risk management, coastal protection, and harbours functions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with particular knowledge of flooding, shoreline management, and harbour operations. You will need to possess excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent
- Chartered Engineer or Hydrologist status
- Extensive experience in flood risk management, coastal protection, and harbour operations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive a range of benefits, including a generous pension scheme, flexible working hours, and opportunities for professional development.
