Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Teacher to join our team as a Head of Subject. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the engineering department, teaching and inspiring students from Key Stage 4 through to Key Stage 5, and developing engaging schemes of work to achieve excellent results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Engineering at KS4 and KS5, fostering enthusiasm and progression in the subject.
  • Develop and implement engaging schemes of work to inspire students and achieve excellent results.
  • Lead and manage the Engineering department, providing support and mentorship to colleagues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with staff and students, ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Support students in preparing for their next steps in further education or engineering-related careers.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE with at least 2 years of experience teaching Engineering at KS4 and KS5.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A track record of building positive relationships with both staff and pupils.
  • Proven leadership potential or previous experience in leading a department is desirable.
  • Must be qualified to teach and work in the UK.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
