Baywater Healthcare is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to lead on Environmental Health and Safety initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective safety protocols, fostering a culture of environmental awareness and compliance, and minimizing the environmental impact of the company's operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in EH&S leadership roles, preferably within healthcare or an operational industry, and in-depth knowledge of HSE legislative frameworks across the UK. They will also have expertise in ISO 14001 standards and excellent communication and influencing skills.
The role will require travel across the company's operating sites, supporting and influencing regional teams and auditing against standards. Regular attendance to the Head Office in Cheshire is a requirement.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Implementing and maintaining effective safety protocols
- Fostering a culture of environmental awareness and compliance
- Minimizing the environmental impact of the company's operations
What You Will Be Doing:
The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing the Environmental Management System (14001)
- Monitoring and reviewing all Health and Safety policies to ensure compliance with ISO standards
- Driving forward-thinking initiatives to embed a culture of safe working and environmental conscience
- Managing statutory reporting to comply with relevant regulations
- Conducting audits and assessments to ensure adherence to laws and regulations
- Being a Subject Matter Expert on regulations such as WEEE and ESOS and on Internal Audits
- Conducting and evaluating Operational Risk Assessments
- Supporting the Quality Manager in promoting effective Root Cause Analysis and Lessons Learned
- Celebrating and recognizing best-in-class performance
About You:
We are seeking a kind, friendly, and communicative individual who enjoys helping people and is excited about working for Baywater Healthcare. The ideal candidate will have a relevant environmental and health and safety qualification, or working towards it, and excellent communication and influencing skills.
Applicants must have full working rights for the UK for this position as visa sponsorship is not available. A full driving license is also required.
