Service Manager for Pharmacy Leadership Role

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operational manager to take on a key leadership role in our pharmacy service. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, keen to develop our services, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The Service Manager will report to the Pharmacy General Manager and contribute to the delivery and implementation of our pharmacy business plan. They will be responsible for day-to-day operational management, maintaining financial performance, and leading and managing the pharmacy IT systems administrators and administration team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide visible service delivery leadership to all pharmacy administrative staff and promote continual improvement in quality, performance, and delivery of Trust objectives.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate staff within pharmacy to deliver and improve services to meet the needs of patients.
  • Work with the General Manager to develop business and planning processes throughout Pharmacy to deliver services to required standards and within available resources.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate diploma in Management or equivalent experience
  • Desirable: Health service management qualification or equivalent experience

Essential Experience:

  • Understanding of clinical service management
  • NHS budget management experience
  • Project or change management experience
  • Experience leading projects involving multidisciplinary staff to improve service delivery/performance

Salary: Estimated salary is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
