Job Title: Theatre Producer

Brixton House is a vibrant arts venue in South London, dedicated to showcasing diverse stories and communities. We're seeking a highly skilled Theatre Producer to join our Artistic team and help bring our creative vision to life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Artistic Team in producing all aspects of our programme, working closely with the Senior Producer and Executive Creative Producer.
  • Liaise with internal and external creative teams and artists to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with artists, producers, theatres, and other collaborators.
  • Manage and update the planning diary, ensuring all shows are accurately recorded and communicated across departments.
  • Provide day-to-day producing management, ensuring high-quality production values and efficient contract management.
  • Support the Programming and producing team in developing and producing an engaging and coherent programme of in-house productions, presentations, and commissions.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Producer and Executive Creative Producer to develop a successful and financially viable model for Theatre 2.
  • Liaise with all Brixton House departments to ensure accurate information is distributed for the successful delivery of all productions and projects.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Producer of new writing and new work across multiple art forms.
  • Commitment to encouraging participation in the performing arts amongst young people.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in person and in writing.
  • Strong financial and budget management skills.
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills, with the ability to work flexibly under pressure.
  • Experience of working directly with creative teams and facilitating artistic processes to deliver high-quality work.
  • Experience of contract negotiation with agents, companies, and artists, and a good working knowledge of relevant contracts and industry practice.
