Health and Safety Manager

About Us:
Gold Care Homes is a well-established national independent care homes group for the elderly, providing a range of services including residential, nursing, frail elderly, and dementia care.
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead our team in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise all departments on Health and Safety matters, liaise with Enforcement Authorities, and respond appropriately.
- Review and update Health and Safety policies and procedures in line with changing legislation and business needs.
- Monitor Health and Safety performance through statutory reporting and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Ensure all Managers and Departments understand and comply with Health and Safety legislation.
- Provide Health and Safety training to staff, ensuring they meet required standards.
- Conduct Health and Safety audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and company procedures.
- Keep Senior Management and the Board informed of policy changes and implement proactive processes.
- Attend annual Health and Safety audits conducted by an external service provider.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager in the care industry is desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
