Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead our team in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise all departments on health and safety matters, liaise with enforcement authorities, and respond appropriately.
  • Review and update health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with changing legislation and business needs.
  • Monitor and report on health and safety performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure all managers and departments understand and comply with relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for staff, ensuring they are equipped to perform their roles safely and effectively.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Provide health and safety advice and guidance to senior management and the board, ensuring proactive implementation of policy changes.
  • Attend annual health and safety audits conducted by external service providers.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Proven experience as a health and safety manager in the care industry or hospital setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
