Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Gold Care Homes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our residents, staff, and visitors, and will work closely with our management team to develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise all departments on health and safety matters, liaise with enforcement authorities, and respond appropriately.
  • Ensure that all health and safety policies and procedures are reviewed in line with changing legislation and the needs of the business.
  • Monitor health and safety performance through the reviewing of all statutory reporting relating to health and safety management matters.
  • Ensure that all managers and departments understand and comply with relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety training programs for all staff.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits and inspections of our care homes and departments.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Proven experience as a health and safety manager in the care industry or hospital setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
