Job Summary:The Account Manager is responsible for working with existing customers in a consultative capacity to identify new opportunities for product growth. This is a sales position that requires developing relationships with current customers within an assigned territory and creating strategic plans in partnership with them. The Account Manager works with Customer Success Managers and Associates to develop long-term strategies and specific campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:- Outbound customer prospecting for the development of targeted opportunities
- Spearhead customer relationship activities
- Maintain accurate customer account data in contact management software
- Develop strategic plans to grow customer product use and uptake
- Create, maintain, forecast, and report on opportunities using contact management software
- Facilitate new programs, messages, campaigns, and offerings
- Troubleshoot client issues and coordinate with needed MasterControl departments for resolution
- Software sales and/or marketing experience is required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required
- The ability to understand, implement, create, and communicate standard operating procedures for job functions is required
- Proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), computer systems, and communication tools are required
- Ability to complete projects by critical deadlines
- Knowledge of the Life Sciences, Medical Devices, and Manufacturing industries is preferred
- Experience with Salesforce is preferred
- Past software sales experience preferred
Associate degree in a technical or business discipline (preferred or equivalent experience)
Work Experience:Work experience should include a minimum of 2 years in a software sale, software sales/support role, Life Science, or Production/Manufacturing experience
