Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Secretary Specialist to join our team at Public Health Wales, providing comprehensive secretarial support to our clinical team at a specialist breast unit in Cardiff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to Consultant Medical Staff, facilitating effective communication between medical teams.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of reading and assessment clinics, including processing clinics, typing letters, recording data, and creating electronic referrals.
  • Offer non-clinical advice and information over the telephone, in English, to service users, their families, or carers.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • RSA Word Processing Level 2 or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience as a Medical Secretary in a specialist breast unit
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Salary Range:

£28,000 - £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
