Job Title: Clinical Advisor - Field Based Mental Health Specialist

About Us:
NHS Practitioner Health is a National (England wide) service for doctors, dentists and health and care staff with mental health and addiction issues which may be affecting their ability to work safely and effectively or return to work. We aim to deliver positive outcomes in relation to improvement in mental health and social functioning, numbers returning to work/retraining, reduction in risk to patients and the public, and reduction in regulatory involvement.

Job Responsibilities:
Please view attached JD for more information. Key requirements include:
  • MRCGP or MRCPsych or RMN + HHP or equivalent qualifications
  • Part 1 & 2 RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and postgraduate study in substance misuse
  • Part 2 RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse or equivalent such as other specialist psychiatric experience in a related field e.g. eating disorders

Experience:
Candidates should have minimum 5 years post qualification experience in managing mental health, significant experience of working in mental health and/or addiction, empathy and understanding of distressed health and care professionals, experience of producing reports, assessments and presentations involving highly complex information, and experience of building and developing effective working relationships and networking with senior professionals.

Salary and Benefits:
This role comes with an estimated salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include disclosure checks, personal clinical supervision, and opportunities for career development.
