Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at SignHealth. The successful candidate will have experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Mental Health challenges, as well as expertise in supported living or residential care services.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Deaf-led charity, supporting individuals with complex needs in a supported living service. As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing independent living skills, emotional support, medication management, and maintaining safety and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to individuals with complex needs
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as medication management and personal care
  • Maintaining a safe and dignified environment for service users
Requirements
  • British Sign Language (BSL) or willingness to learn
  • Experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Mental Health challenges
  • Experience in supported living or residential care services
  • Prevention Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) training or willingness to undertake
