About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adult Mental Health Specialist to join our team at North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for leading and developing excellent practice in adult mental health services.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in General Adult Psychiatry and will be able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty. You will be an excellent communicator with strong oral and written skills in English and will be able to work constructively in and lead a multidisciplinary team.

You will be expected to maintain effective communication with IAPT services and other community mental health teams and primary care. The post holder will contribute to clinical and medical leadership within the Recovery Team, taking a lead role in the development and provision of a safe, effective, evidence-based, quality service.

As part of the allocation procedure within the team, you will be responsive and flexible to the needs of the team. You will also be expected to provide clinical supervision to junior doctors and support them when they contact for any advice or guidance.

Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management
  • Approved clinician status or ability to achieve within 3 months of appointment
  • Valid UK driving licence or alternative mode of transport
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is £105,504 - £139,882 per year, plus 10% R&R (non-contractual) and 1% on-call allowance. Flexible working requests will be considered for all roles.
