Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom University of Cambridge Full time
Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join our research group at the CRUK Cambridge Institute, part of the University of Cambridge. The successful candidate will be working on cutting-edge technologies to uncover fundamental biology in chromatin biology and RNA silencing mechanisms.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in small RNA biology, transposable elements, and experience working with Drosophila as a model organism. Additionally, expertise in genomics approaches (ChIP-seq/RNA-seq/small RNA-seq) is essential for this role. This position offers an exciting opportunity for creative and independent research at the interface of transposon biology, chromatin silencing, and small RNA pathways in flies.

The selected candidate will contribute their expertise to the project while learning new approaches and expanding into new biological topics. We are looking for someone who is passionate about exploring novel methods and making significant contributions to the field.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.

To be considered for this role, please upload your Curriculum Vitae (CV), including your research skills and publication record; the names and contact details of two academic referees; and a covering letter explaining why you wish to be considered for this position and what you will bring to the project.
