Darent Valley Hospital's Adult Medicine Directorate seeks an experienced Medical Office Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative support to our clinical teams. As a key member of the department's administrative and clerical team, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient performance of the service.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will interact with clients, colleagues, and external agencies on a daily basis. Your ability to work collaboratively with staff, patients, and other health professionals will be critical in delivering a high-quality service.

As a Medical Office Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a busy workload, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines
  • Maintaining accurate records, handling confidential information, and upholding patient confidentiality
  • Providing administrative support to consultants, specialist nurses, and medical staff

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous secretarial experience and the ability to manage a busy workload
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
  • Basic medical terminology qualification

We offer a competitive salary of £26,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience. This position is subject to a DBS check.
