Job Overview

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Power Lead to join their team in Manchester. As a key member of the organisation, you will play a crucial role in leading the development of cutting-edge electrical engineering solutions.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in power systems modelling, switchgear, protection, and power electronics. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering degree or equivalent experience and be working towards chartership or already chartered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers working on technical specifications and engineering deliverables
  • Chair LCM Design Reviews and/or technical bid reviews for minor projects and provide significant contribution to larger projects
  • Ensure all engineering activities are undertaken in line with the Operational Framework and compliance with all engineering policies is maintained
  • Review processes and procedures within span of control to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and establish a dynamic and flexible best-in-class capability

Your Skills and Experience

  • Chartership or working towards
  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in power systems modelling, switchgear, protection, and power electronics
  • Knowledge of defence standards
  • Experience of working with engineering life cycle

Salary Range: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum depending on experience
