Job Description

As a Public Affairs and Community Relations Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of external engagement plans and activities at Manchester Metropolitan University. You will work closely with the Public Affairs Manager to deliver a parliamentary event and produce a comprehensive stakeholder map.

This is a fixed-term role for 6 months, and we are ideally seeking an immediate start. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse and inclusive team and contribute to the success of the University.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the delivery of external engagement plans and activities to build the University's reputation and engage external stakeholders.
  • Working with the Public Affairs Manager to deliver a parliamentary event in Q2 2025.
  • Producing a comprehensive stakeholder map of key political and policy figures in Higher Education and other policy areas.
  • Preparing briefings for internal and external audiences.

The successful candidate will have excellent all-round communications skills, including developing communications plans, content development, campaign management, design and copywriting, and project management. The salary for this role is approximately £25,000-£30,000 per year (dependent on experience).
