About Operations & Claremont IngredientsThe Operations division is at the heart of our customers' experience here at THG. We Manufacture a wide range of sports nutrition and food production consumer goods that we then dispatch to out customers in over 200 countries worldwide from our purpose-built, innovative manufacturing and distribution centres.
Claremont is a UK flavour company based near Stoke on Trent in the West Midlands, at this site we create and manufacture a complete range of liquid and powder flavourings for beverages, baked goods, ice cream and dairy products, sugar and chocolate confectionery and sports nutrition products.
Role: Multi Skilled EngineerYour objective, through modern maintenance systems, will be to maintain business as usual for the plant operations, to continuously improve availability/reliability of the equipment and to do so safely.
You will lead the planned, proactive and reactive maintenance activities and drive a continuous improvement culture.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the development, implementation, and execution of the sites Maintenance strategy.
- Reliability focused using modern techniques such as TPM, RCA, RCM and FMEA to increase equipment reliability.
- Support the continuous improvement culture and failure analysis agenda for the site by driving CMMS data to develop action plans to permanently solve problems by addressing the root cause.
- Resolve engineering breakdowns and then utilise RCA to implement long term fixes.
- Effective Weekly and monthly planned maintenance planning based on compliance with the existing schedule and management of the preventative work order backlog to ensure 100% compliance is achieved and risks removed.
- KPI analysis reporting both weekly and monthly and ensure KPIs are met, results published to key stakeholder group.
- Control of planned maintenance outages and events.
- Build capability model with the team focusing on asset knowledge and maintenance processes.
- Support the delivery of engineering excellence growth in responsible categories.
- Complete risk assessments and manage Permit to Works
- Manage third party contracts effectively.
- Budget management and support, clear forecasting of spend and contribute to the development of annual budget projection.
- Multi skilled engineer with electrical qualifications, either electrical or mechanically biased.
- Time served engineer with a recognised apprenticeship.
- The ideal candidate will hold an ONC/HNC qualification.
- Experience working with maintenance planning systems.
- Strong understand of H&S, IOSH qualifications are desirable.
- Experience with CMMS, management, deployment and auditing.
- Excellent computer and communication skills.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation will be at the heart of your work.
- Experience of RCA processes.
- Experience of food manufacturing and BRC requirements would be preferred.
- The ability to cover other sites during major engineering interventions is desirable.
