Job Overview

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our Home Care and Reablement Service team in Barra. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals living in their local communities, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

This rewarding role involves working closely with service users, families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver person-centered care. As a Care Support Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing individual needs, developing personalized care plans, and providing emotional support and reassurance to those who require it.

We are looking for someone who is caring, reliable, and able to work independently as part of a close-knit team. A strong understanding of the principles of reablement and a commitment to delivering excellent care standards are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess individual needs and develop personalized care plans
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to service users
  • Work closely with families and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new care initiatives

**Salary:** £12,339 - £12,806 per annum (inclusive of £1,185 Distant Islands Allowance)
