Job Summary
Candidates are invited to apply for the position of Home Care and Reablement Assistant within Comhairle nan Eilean Siar. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes.

About the Role
This permanent position is based in Uist and involves working 36.75 hours per week. The salary for this role includes a Distant Islands Allowance and ranges from £28,342 to £29,415 per annum.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have a SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council. They will be required to wear and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and hold a full UK driving licence.

Benefits
In addition to a competitive salary, candidates will have access to career progression opportunities, including the chance to gain the required qualification within a short timescale. This enables them to progress to the post of Home Care and Reablement Worker, which comes with a higher salary range of £30,252-£33,069 per annum, pro rata.

Working Environment
Candidates will have the opportunity to meet the team and experience the work environment during in-person interviews. The role requires membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme in respect of regulated work with Adults.
