We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children, young people, and their families in a highly valued profession within the multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the wider Multidisciplinary Team to support children, young people, and their families through direct and indirect patient care. The postholder will have opportunities to contribute to innovative ways of working, including groups and treatment pathways, as well as develop other leadership skills such as teaching and training.

Key Responsibilities

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS/HCPC
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council as Practitioner Psychologist
  • Post-doctoral training and recorded CPD experience and/or further qualifications in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice relevant to medical psychology
Requirements
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups across the whole life course and presenting with the full range of clinical severity
  • Experience of representing psychology within the context of multi-disciplinary care
  • Knowledge of legislation in relation to children and young people and child protection
  • Evidence of working psychologically with children and/or adults in a physical health setting
  • Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, technical and clinically sensitive information to clients, their carers, and other professionals

Salary: £54,320 - £60,981 per annum pro rata.
